We intend to work our way around the Mangakara Nature walk on the lower slopes of Mt Pirongia.  Signposted time is 20 minutes, but be warned that we will take at least 2 – 3 hours (possibly more) to make our way around the loop.

Bryophyte newbies welcome. 

Bring a hand lens if you have one. 

Please note:  the focus of this trip will be bryophytes….while vascular plants might warrant a mention as the species on which the bryophytes are growing, we will purposely be keeping our eyes and minds on the non-vascular component!

Meet : at the Shelter at the end of Grey Road (Mt Pirongia) at 10:00.

Carpooling : from Countdown Dinsdale leaving at 9:30.
