Koroki Kahukura ki Hinuera Scenic Reserve, previously known as the Horahora Gorge Scenice Reserve before its’ return to Ngati Koroki Kahukura last year, overlooks the southern end of Lake Karapiro. There are no tracks through the reserve so we will be picking our way through the bush starting from Rick Barnaby’s property. Rick has been slowly restoring the area close to his property, near the top of the reserve off Tirau Rd.
