Susan Emmitt has organised for us all to visit a large wetland in Cambridge, within a gully system. Large areas of it are within the town belt but there are also large areas within private ownership. It is an Significant Natural Area and has a diverse understory, despite currently being dominated by willow. There has never been a botanical survey of the site as far as I’m aware. We will be entering towards the middle of the wetland and can do a lower loop, and another loop further up the wetland if people are keen.

We can meet at the end of 4/35 Silverwood Lane in Cambridge. This will allow us to enter the wetland via a private property, the owner will join us on the trip as he is very interested in learning more about the gully.
