Vines, wines, and andesite: plants and landscapes of south-central Chile / Annual General Meeting
May 18, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for our Annual General Meeting, and a talk on the plants, forests and landscapes of Chile, by Dr Chris Lusk, Senior Research Fellow and forest ecologist at the University of Waikato. Chris was recently in Chile for the Southern Connection conference, and took the opportunity to get reacquainted with the plants, landscapes and culture of Chile. Chris has previously spent a number of years living and working in Chile, researching vegetation dynamics. He will share some photos with us at the AGM.
The meeting will start with refreshments at 5:30 pm, followed by the AGM at 6 pm in lecture room S.G.03 at the University of Waikato. During the AGM we will welcome volunteers who are willing to contribute to the running of the society. All positions for newsletter editor, committee, treasurer, secretary and president are open for nominations. Work on the committee is not an arduous task – with several committee meetings during the year, and the enjoyable task of organising and taking part in field trips.
Nominations should be sent to our secretary, Kris Kramer-Walter,
